GrEnFIn project – 1st Summer School and Project Meeting
The 1st Summer School of the GrEnFIn (Greening Energy Market and Finance) project was held remotely on 8 – 11th of June. Summer/Winter Schools are short learning experiences (usually lasting 1 week) for students focusing on the main field of the Green Energy Finance and allowing students to approach this new discipline.
The School was structured in 3 trucks covering 9 topics:
• Scientific/Technological Track: Smart Grids for Smart Cities: the Potential of Local Energy Communities, The Outlook of Energy Markets in the Spring of 2020, Power to Gas and Decarbonisation pathways, Adaptation to climate change in practice
• Risk and Finance Track: Extreme natural risk and finance in ambiguous settings, Climate Risk and model uncertainty, Energy trading and economic evaluation of risk
• Social Welfare-Policy and Economic Track: Climate Change, and Financial Risk, The transition risk and the regulations: Green bonds and beyond
The Instructors were professors of the University Institutions participating in the project and the School was completed with the presentation of group work and multiple question test of the students.
The 3d scheduled project meeting of GrEnFIn (Greening Energy Market and Finance) was held on 15 – 16th of June after the implementation of the 1st Summer School. The meeting was held remotely and included the evaluation of the 1st Summer School and the discussion on the initial curriculum of the postgraduate program that will be created. The next project meeting is scheduled for December 2020
